Pacific Sunwear's Training Needs
Sunwear was growing in leaps and bounds. With this rapid
growth, there was a need to have more consistency in merchandising
processing and procedures, and a way to communicate those
to the merchandising organization.
Sunwear's Training Department was not staffed to support
its growing merchandising area's technical training needs.
Although there was some rudimentary documentation for merchandising
areas, there were no defined templates and formats for technical
training and no training tools to accompany the documentation,
such as Trainer's Guides, Learning Surveys, Practice Exercises
and Training Aids.
TEC Services and Products Delivered
reformatted and reconstructed the current Replenishment
document into an easy-to-use and follow User Guide and developed
an electronic (HTML) version with search capability. TEC
also developed consistent, customized training documentation
and tool templates for all current and future training,
communication and change management programs, including:
Guide with embedded Trainer's Guide instructions on left-hand
Aids and Learning Reinforcement tools
Scenarios / Practice Exercises
existing PacSun user guide and reference materials against
an upgraded system to deliver concise and consistent documentation.
TEC applied and delivered our proven instructional design
and training methodology to develop user-friendly documentation,
training tools and reference materials.
